May SAS Carolina Classic TPC at Wakefield Plantation, 2201 Wakefield Plantation Drive This $450,000 tournament features some of the finest professional golfers in the country, many of whom are the future superstars of the PGA Tour. Proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County.

September La Fiesta del Pueblo NC State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road La Fiesta del Pueblo is the largest Latin American festival in the Carolinas, providing a fun, low-cost, family-friendly environment and features dance and music performances, typical Latin American food, Cafe Teatro, a youth booth, children's games, and more. The Fiesta typically draws over 50,000 people of all ages and cultures to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
October North Carolina State Fair NC State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road The largest event in the state, the fair comes to Raleigh every year for ten days and features craft demonstrations, livestock exhibits and competitions, top-notch concerts, games, rides, side shows, food and other family-friendly entertainment.
